Sunday Sermons:
God’s called us to minister in our local communities in Ohio, serving both those within our congregation and those surrounding us. And He’s called us to make disciples of all nations. Sovereign Grace Church in Chillicothe, Ohio purposes to do this task together.
Our Ministries
Teaching
Part of Jesus’ commission to the disciples included “teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you”. (Matthew 28:20) We consider teaching to be one of the highest priorities of any local church.
Discipleship
We believe parents are the primary disciplers of their children. Yet, we as the church desire to come alongside parents in teaching the gospel to children.
Worship
We are passionate about God receiving the glory he alone deserves. We are committed to his Word, his gospel, his church, and his mission.
Our Purpose
This church exists by the grace of God and for the glory of God, which shall be the ultimate purpose of all its activities. We seek to glorify the God of Scripture (Eph. 3:21) by promoting His worship (Exod. 20:3-11; John 4:23-24; 1 Cor. 3:16-17; 1 Pet. 2:5), edifying and equipping the saints (1 Cor. 12:27-28; 14:12; 18-19, 26; Eph. 4:11-16), evangelizing the nations (Acts 13 and 14; 1 Cor. 14:24-25; 1 Tim. 2:1-4; 3:15), planting and strengthening churches, calling other assemblies to biblical faithfulness and purity (Acts 11:29-30; 15:3, 36, 41; 16:5) and ministering to the needy (Rom. 15:26-27; Gal. 2:10; 6:10), thus proclaiming and defending God’s perfect law and glorious gospel of grace throughout the world (Luke 24:47; Acts 20:20-21, 27; Rom. 1:15-8:39; Jude 3).
